Design for Change is a global school contest that started in India in 2009, and was introduced to Mexico by the EducarUno Foundation in 2010. The contest empowers participants to be the protagonists in the design, development and implementation of ideas to transform their communities through a focus on leadership and a positive, proactive attitude. In doing so, the contest engages new generations in educational and social development. It is  also very practical; participants must form teams of up to five classmates, with the support of a teacher who will guide the students  through the following four steps:
